NUS Delegates for 2018 Announced

Following a week’s worth of voting, it has been revealed who Guild President Sean Turner will take along to the May 2018 NUS conference- speaking on behalf of the students of Liverpool.

1,066 people voted for twelve different candidates last week. The Guild website assures that, now the announcement has been made, “the team will now spend time making sure any issues you feel strongly about as a student are discussed on a national scale”.

Out of the line-up, two currently serve as Student Officers, with Ananda Mohan as Deputy President and Rory Hughes as one of the Vice Presidents. A further two- Yasmin Gasimova and Noura Quisary- have served as Vice President and Student Officer candidate respectively. The NUS requires that 50% of  delegate spaces are reserved for women, and there is a resulting equal split.
