Insanely underground in their approach to self-publicising their very existence, Trans have managed to pull off something which is becoming increasingly rare in the modern age; namely, crafting their ever-growing reputation and excitement surrounding their live shows through the old fashioned method via word of mouth. Featuring the musical talents of former Suede guitarist and founder Bernard Butler and Jackie McKeown of Yummy Fur, Trans feed off of extended jams and produce a world of melodic, encompassing psych. With their EP ‘Red’ having been dropped in October via Rough Trade to a wave of critical acclaim, the band released the follow up ‘Green’ in order to coincide with the current tour, continuing the fresh and innovative approach to music the band has taken thus far.
Having already visited sunny Merseyside last September for the Liverpool International Festival of Psychedelia, Trans will be sure to induce many a local with their warped melodies and distant hooks. Armed with a sound described by The Guardian as ‘dynamic and tense,’ an evening of mind-bending ecstasy eagerly lies in wait.
