While the current environment means vocal-based bands struggle to stand out from the landscape, Deliah break the mould through their latest offering ‘Spying On Life’, their second, beautifully mixed track after the release of ‘Any Last Words’ in 2014.
With an eclectic arrangement of warm bass and jazz organs underlying the soothing, soulful vocals of Michelle Harris, the delayed guitar and soft drums add a hint of dance, resulting in an enticing concoction of genres. Complete with octave-based guitars effectively rounding things up, ‘Spying on Life’ is a promising track from a promising new group.
