15 year old arrested on drugs charge

A fifteen year old boy has been arrested by Merseyside Police on charges of drugs and robbery in Bootle.

Following a search at a house in Glover Place early this morning, the boy was held on suspicion of the possession of drugs with the intent to supply as well as robbery charges.

The news of this arrest comes after a series of shootings across Merseyside, leading to a police crackdown on drugs and violence. Officers that carried out today’s raids in Bootle seized a quantity of cannabis and drug paraphernalia at the property.

In addition to the case of the fifteen year old, a scrambler bike and a number of mobile phones were seized at another address in Bootle.

As part of the same crackdown, police also arrested a seventeen year old male on suspicion of drugs offences in a separate incident earlier this week.
