The University of Liverpool women’s lacrosse team played outstandingly at the Varsity match against JMU today. They remained on top of the game for the duration of the match, by working well as a team. UoL started as they meant to go on, taking an early lead in the first five minutes, with India Chadwick scoring a fantastic opening goal.
Throughout the first half, JMU struggled to break through UOL’S defence, and with some fantastic saves from goalie Poppy Spence, the score at half time was 11-3. In the second half, UoL upped their game, not only continuing to dominate in attack, but also tightening their defence and mid-field play, making it even harder for their opponents to get near the goal. The final score was a huge 22-4 to Liverpool Uni.
